Please join Food for Thought Books Collective in welcoming The Femme Show for an evening of intimate performance of readings, spoken word, erotica and performance art to benefit the FFT Collective.
The Femme Show is the country’s only touring show exploring all aspects of femme identity from a variety of queer perspectives. This is queer art for queer people, that can be challenging, introspective, brazen, funny, sexy, and gritty but always powerful. The Femme Show is delighted to serve up an all-new production featuring a diverse, gender-blending, genre-busting show that will give you new ways and new reasons to think about femininity. Featured performers at Food for Thought Books Collective include Gigi Frost, Johnny Blazes, Alicia Greene and Miel Rose.

Once again, the All-New Femme Show has come and gone and I have been slow to update you all on how it all went down. It’s hard to figure out how to sum up an experience like that. I think one of the best words for this year’s show is passionate. Passion isn’t easy. It’s deep, it’s scary, it’s hot and tight and close and out of control. It’s how I feel about making space for femme, and making space in femme.
Fabo intern Allie T. took these photos.
Thanks to all our sponsors and volunteers! Our Bake Sale raised over $400 for the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition. And thanks to all of you who spread the word, brought a ticket, a t-shirt, or a brownie, and help us keep going.
We’ve got big plans for 2011, around Boston and away. Stay tuned!
