Call For Vendors, Boston Show
Volunteer with the Femme Show!
Volunteer opportunities for Fall 2011
Behind the Scenes Volunteers:
Tasks include working our technical staff, moving props and picking up the clothes we take off. This is a fun chance to work closely with some of Boston’s best queer performers. Must be available at 4:00 PM on Friday September 30 and at 5:30 PM Saturday, October 1. No experience needed.
Ushers and Merchandise: Tasks include selling tickets, selling Femme Show swag, and handing out programs. You will be able to see the show free of charge! Choose Friday, September 30 or Saturday October 1. Must be available at 6:00 on Friday to help set up OR available at 7:00 Saturday and help load out after the Saturday show.

Seeking creative, self-motivated, organized, folks to help make queer art for queer people.
8-15 hours per week
The Femme Show is a Boston-based production bringing queer art to queer people. We are currently preparing for our third annual Boston show while also planning national touring dates. In addition to our acclaimed show, we have a thriving blog and website.
Depending on interest and abilities, projects may include:
- managing communications with audience members, artists, and sponsors
- internet and in-person networking and outreach
- grassroots organizing
- website maintenance
- planning fund raising events
- booking touring engagements
- tour management
- house management or technical responsibilities at shows
- graphic design
- creating promotional materials
- writing blog entries and monthly newsletters
The ideal candidate has experience in the performing arts, arts management, community organizing and/or activism and is comfortable with queer communities.
This is an unpaid position, but college credit is available. You do not have to be a student. We can offer access to shows, possible travel, and the chance to meet and hang out with movers and shakers in the queer arts scene as well as recommendations. Positions are available year-round. Call For Vendors, and Program Ads, Boston Show
The Femme Show (www.thefemmeshow.com) is pleased give artists, artisans, crafters and vendors an opportunity to offer their wares to our audience during our 5th Annual performance in Cambridge, MA this year on September 30th and October 1st.
Audience members will be able to shop before the show when the doors open at 7:30 PM, during intermission, and for 15-20 minutes after the show. Vendors will be able to arrive to set up from 6-7:30 PM both nights, and are also free to leave wares in the space between shows, as we have exclusive use of the space. Payment is due when you arrive on Friday.
Vendors are listed on our website free of charge and also have the opportunity to increase visibility by purchasing ads in our program.

Program Ads
Our program book features local businesses & organizations. We are expecting well over 400 folks of all stripes over the two nights, and are thrilled to give you an opportunity to market your business to a captive audience. We have a fan base of fashion forward & health conscious folks, Boston & Cambridge (& beyond!) residents, fans of the arts, and supporters of local businesses.??A half-page ad is $50 (5 inches wide by 2 inches tall), a full-page ad is $100 (5 inches wide by 8 inches tall). If a business card-sized ad would be a better fit for you, that costs $25.
