We’re off to Philadelphia and Baltimore this weekend! Here’s a quick hit from the Philadelphia City Paper. Not sure where they got the idea that we’re “lady DJ’s”. Ha.
Friday we got to open for Good Asian Drivers at their Homecoming Show at the Midway. I love performing at the Midway ’cause it’s my neighborhood bar and SPPSSM especially is inspired by stuff that happens there. Bitches bravely did one of their glamorous life numbers and managed not to take out anyone or anything. We did SPPSSM with help from Havalah, who changed outfits six times as our sexy, strong femme roadie. Becca D’bus refrained from making any Teva jokes onstage and offered this public service announcement: “Don’t hate on the femmes, people. They’re only halfway lesbians but we love them anyway.” She’s learning.
Then we got to hear some great poetry and some great music. Go check out Kit and Melissa. I highly recommend their musical, and the video they made of all the great food they ate on tour. And Kit’s poem, Queer Nation.
Thanks to Good Asian Drivers and Dyke Night for having us! It was a blast.

On Thursday the lovely folks at Emerson College and Emerson’s Alliance for Gay Lesbians and Everyone (aka EAGLE) hosted our first ever college show!
I decided to take pictures of my feet as they went through various stages of footwear and foot care in the show. I forgot to include my street shoes before and afterwards, just imagine knee-high boots at the beginning and end of this sequence.
