This was apparently the part of the tour where I forgot to take pictures. So you’ll have to trust me when I tell you that the Shadow Lounge is awesome! It’s a beautiful space that does all sorts of events and includes a lounge called AVA that is just the right amount of swanky and comfortable.
The lovely folks at the Dyke and Trans March Committee brought out a huge crowd and made us feel so welcome. Nichole Faina, Bekezela Mguni, inFERNo, and Leslie Whore gave amazing performances.
I want to share Nichole’s affirmation with you: “I am a life force of femme fabulousness in a perplexing universe of femme oppression. The power to overcome is in me.” beautiful.

It’s time for Boston Pride, and you know what that means: Time to do it up and join the Femme Show and MadFemmePride in the Parade on Saturday, June 12.

It’s a great chance for high-fun, high-visibility hijinks, whether you’re high-femme, low-femme, medium-rare-femme or no-femme. Our marching orders don’t get released until a few days before, so if you want to join the fun, your best bet is to sign in or sign up here. We’ll need help passing out thousands of sparkly giveaways. And because femmes know from hospitality, there’s a potluck brunch at our meet up place.
The femmes ‘n’ friends of MFP are also cooking up meet ups, picnics, and so on for a variety of pride events. See you there!

Friend of the Femme Show Rebecca Nagle is at Club Oberon tonight!
A Dozen Things I want to do on stage with Miss Madison West, Intro to Anatomy, Heywood Wakefield, and Madge of Honor. Hosted by Johnny Blazes.
Jan 13 at 8pm
Club OBERON

18 and up
A Dozen Things I want to do on stage is a new one-woman cabaret by Rebecca Nagle. Of the dozen, Nagle will undress to “Wenn Ich Mir Was Wünschen Dürfte”, fit in a small box, tell your secrets, discuss why something is racist, fall in love, read her fantasies, act out your fantasies, induce a tragedy, fall down, take truth serum while letting the audience ask her questions, tell a tall tale, and disembowel herself.

More than anything else we do, the Femme Show in Boston is a community effort. From the bake sale (we raised $600 for MTPC!) to the tech staff, to the ASL interpreters and the after party volunteers, there are dozens of people who make this show possible. Whether you bought a ticket or 6, volunteered for one night, updated your facebook status, attended the after party, baked brownies, or bought a brownie, you are part of what makes this show possible!
A big thank you to our sponsors, artists, vendors and volunteers:

Art Show featuring Kate Moss and Natasha Nolan
Natasha coordinated the art show from her house while nursing a broken foot. It looked amazing and it was wonderful to have her in the audience, wheelchair and all!
