Femmepire is over the hump…
The Femmepire is rocking! I am so proud of all our artists and guest artists and so grateful for the support of our audience, hosts, and backers.
We crossed Pennsylvania with no traffic snafus and have been enjoying a lovely two days in Philly catching up with old friends and doing two super fun shows!

Yesterday we visited the Rachel Kahn ancestral homeland for a swim and some grinders. Thanks ever so to Rachel’s Mom!
We packed Studio 34 with the help of the Lesbian Dorkestra and their hilarious covers of songs like “Iowa.” This was probably the one and only time the Femme Show will ever take a curtain call to Melissa Etheridge.
Last night we had a lovely show at Giovanni’s Room, which I will have to come back and visit to actually shop! They had a book called “Lesbian Culture” that I used to pore over in my high school library. I’ve come to love our intimate reading shows. The pace is less hectic and it’s fun to be so close to audience and interact with them and each other. Meil Rose left us all panting and breathless…. Johnny suggested a panty changing break between sets.
The less hectic pace meant I remembered to take some pics:

The Gayborhood

Rudy in an amazing corset, Madge and Mylene. Fierce.

Between the porn and the folk music, that's where we belong.
