Femmepire tour part 1
We are having a rocking time on tour so far! Come see us in Pittsburgh Tuesday and catch up with the rest of the tour schedule here.

We kicked off with a show at the Lucky Dog Music Hall in Worcester

what do the femme show and the Rollings Stones have in common? besides our feminist politics, the Lucky Dog Music Hall.

it was so nice of them to give us toys to play with back stage
Our Albany show at the Steamer 10 theatre was fantastic. There was a draw bridge and everything! It’s home to a children’s theater program, so there were all kinds of props and costumes backstage. They’re teching Bye Bye Birdie this week.

The next morning our host offered us mimosas for the low price of 5 cents. Rachel: “The first one woke me up and the second one put me to sleep.”
Then it was on to New York City for our first reading show at Bluestockings. Dee joined us, and weekend-at-the-femme-show Corrina Bain did her last show with us for this tour. Add our NYC guests Kit Yan and Lea Robinson and you’ve got our largest cast of the tour so far. There was such great energy! I love performing in bookstores even if we can’t do everything (like roll on the floor with a cinderblock or dance a pas de deux). We’ll have some video up soon!

We said goodbye to Mel, our Butch Roadie for the weekend. Johnny sent her off with a polka. Thanks Mel!
