Part 1: New York!

I went to New York with my SPPSSM partner in crime, the lovely Rachel AKA Miss Llewellyn. Along with our friends Bitches with Barrettes, Ariel Federow, and Erin Markey, we got to perform at Dixon Place as part of their HOT Festival. And yes, it was hot in every sense of the word. I did my new dance piece and then sat on this cot-thing in the tiny dressing room in my SPPSSM hat, stockings, and shoes, whining “I don’t want to put on my spanx.” I didn’t get to see any of the pieces because we were back in the dressing room, but what we could over hear sounded great. Dixon Place is amazing and they were very nice about letting us store our trunk full of props and Bitches’ hula hoops.

Wednesday before tech I took an awesome ballet class, had an interview with Portland’s Lesbian Radio, and had lunch with Sassafrass. Yes, we finally met in person!

I also got to see good friends from college, including Kate McDonough who made the awesome barbie movie.

I got home to Boston at 5 PM, took my sweaty, sweaty dress out of the trunk and washed it, panicked about how much I had to do, rehearsed with Havalah answered email, and collapsed.
